Job summary

Ogden City is seeking a Refuse Operator - Operations to operate refuse collection vehicles and related equipment across the city, performing maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient collection of refuse and recycling.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A within 150 days, two years of field maintenance experience, and the ability to work extended hours including snow/ice control operations. Competitive benefits and full-time status offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of general maintenance experience in field maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Operate refuse collection vehicles and pick up city refuse and recycling.
• Operate loaders, screeners, skid steers, log splitters, chainsaws and similar equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on trucks; grease and lubricate moving parts.
• Maintain vehicle after routes and complete reports.
• Respond to emergencies and be available for overtime as needed.
