Smith & Loveless in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Municipal Pumping Sales Engineer to partner with our Municipal Sales team in a part-time role. You will plan regional sales coverage for S&L pumping systems and develop strategies to increase orders.

You will collaborate with engineers, cities, counties, and contractors, handle pricing inquiries, and stay current with industry technology while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2 years experience with water and/or wastewater equipment preferred.
• 3 years experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Effective communication, human relations, and sales abilities.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• 50% - 60% domestic travel required.

Responsabilités

• Plan overall sales coverage for respective region and develop plans for increasing sales of S&L pumping systems.
• Develop strategies to increase order closure rates.
• Cultivate relationships with key accounts, cities, counties, and contractors.
• Provide timely follow-up on pricing, bids, inquiries, and submittals.
• Provide technical knowledge to assist engineers and municipalities in design and purchase of S&L products.
