Job summary

Orion Placement in New York, NY is seeking an experienced plaintiff personal injury attorney to lead complex municipal and personal injury matters from inception through trial.

You will collaborate with a team of attorneys, mentor junior staff, and influence case strategy and department initiatives while delivering compassionate advocacy for seriously injured clients. This on-site role offers growth and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 4+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of New York personal injury law and litigation procedure.
• Experience with depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Excellent written, oral advocacy, analytical, and case-management skills.
• Ability to manage a substantial caseload and competing priorities.
• New York municipal claims experience strongly preferred.
• Prior supervisory or management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, courts, and other case stakeholders.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases efficiently and strategically.
• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff while contributing to a high-performing litigation team.
• Help drive departmental initiatives, operational improvements, and continued practice growth.
