Job summary

Orionplacement in New York, NY is seeking an experienced attorney to lead complex New York municipal personal injury matters from inception through resolution or trial. This on-site role offers ownership of substantial caseloads, collaboration with a respected litigation team, and opportunities to mentor junior staff.

Required: JD from an accredited law school, active New York Bar admission, and 4+ years of litigation experience with strong knowledge of NY personal injury law and procedures.

• Experience with depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation.

• Ability to manage a substantial caseload and competing priorities.
• New York municipal claims experience strongly preferred.
• Prior supervisory or management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a caseload of complex New York personal injury and municipal claim matters from inception through resolution or verdict.
• Develop case strategies designed to maximize outcomes for clients.
• Conduct depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trials.
• Analyze claims, evidence, liability, damages, and litigation strategy throughout each matter.
• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to move cases efficiently.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff while contributing to a high-performing team.
• Help drive departmental initiatives, operational improvements, and practice growth.

Note: Active admission to practice law in New York and 4+ years of directly relevant litigation experience are must-have qualifications. Experience handling New York municipal claims and personal injury matters is strongly preferred.
