Job summary

Orion Placement in New York, NY is seeking an experienced attorney to lead and manage a caseload of complex New York personal injury and municipal claim matters from inception through resolution or verdict.

You will develop case strategies to maximize outcomes, conduct depositions, and handle motions, court appearances, mediations, and trials while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
• 4+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of New York personal injury law and litigation procedure.
• Experience with depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Excellent written, oral advocacy, analytical, and case-management skills.
• Ability to manage a substantial caseload and competing priorities.
• New York municipal claims experience strongly preferred.
• Prior supervisory or management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Note: Active admission to practice law in New York and 4+ years of directly relevant litigation experience are must-have qualifications. Experience handling New York municipal claims and personal injury matters is strongly preferred.
