Job summary

Boswell Engineering in New Jersey is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform on-site inspection of heavy highway and bridge projects for municipal clients. You will prepare daily inspection reports, sketches, and data for field changes while ensuring contractor compliance with plans and safety standards.

The role requires interpreting plans/specifications, prior NJ experience preferred, and a valid driver’s license for site access and travel. Night/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

Ability to interpret plans and specifications and accurately document collected data.
Previous employment as Construction Inspector on roadways/highways in NJ preferred.
Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.
US work eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site inspection of heavy highway, bridge rehabilitation/replacement projects for municipal clients.
Daily inspection reporting and data sketches for field changes.
Ensure contractor work complies with plans, specs, and contract documents.
Assist Resident Engineer, Office Engineer, or Chief Inspector with item tracking and safety compliance.
