Job summary

The City of Dallas seeks a Fleet Service Advisor to engage customers, build trust, and coordinate preventive maintenance for the City fleet. You will advise on service parts, manage inventory, and support maintenance operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of automotive parts/repair customer service, a valid Texas driver’s license, and ASE C-1 certification within six months. This on-site role offers stable, public-sector employment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of customer service in automotive parts/repair with service scheduling and phone contact.
• ASE/C-1 certification must be obtained within a 6-month probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist staff; provide vehicle servicing knowledge to deliver excellent customer service and parts management.
• Monitor servicing records, inventory, and reporting; maintain data for effective services.
• Support purchasing requirements to maintain adequate inventory for fleet maintenance.
• Review purchase orders and office service orders for accuracy.
• Inspect operations and perform services; help resolve complex issues to minimize downtime.
