Job summary

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Municipal Engineering Project Manager to advise municipal clients and lead infrastructure and community-development projects in a hybrid work environment. You will build long-term relationships, guide development submissions, and influence capital investments for communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant professional experience within the AEC industry with municipal project-management responsibilities.
• Experience serving municipalities or public-sector clients.
• Experience managing engineering projects with scope, schedule, budget, and client communication.
• Strong written communication; ability to present technical recommendations to officials and stakeholders.
• Willingness to attend evening meetings and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary engineering representative and trusted advisor for municipal clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal officials and stakeholders.
• Manage projects from planning through completion: scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Review subdivision, land development, infrastructure submissions for compliance.
• Prepare technical review letters, reports, and recommendations.
• Advise officials on improvements, infrastructure needs, and development activities.
• Attend and present at municipal meetings and public forums as required.
• Explain complex engineering issues clearly to officials, developers, and the public.
• Coordinate with developers, regulators, outside consultants, and RETTEW teams.
• Support infrastructure and capital planning (transportation, stormwater, utilities).
• Identify risks and regulatory considerations; help craft solutions.
• Identify opportunities to expand RETTEW's municipal services with additional resources.
