AEC Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Business Unit Lead for Municipal Engineering in the Mid-Atlantic with hybrid options. The role oversees the Municipal Engineering practice across multiple regional offices, driving project delivery, client engagement, and growth strategies.

Qualified candidates bring a PE license and 10+ years of municipal/civil project leadership. Expect a strategic leadership path, collaboration with regional teams, and a focus on complex

Qualifications

• PE license required or able to obtain within 2 years.
• 10+ years of municipal/civil engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater design.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and direction for the Municipal Engineering team across offices.
• Lead planning, design, and execution of complex municipal infrastructure projects.
• Serve as a senior technical resource on municipal systems design, site development, and public works.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients and public sector entities.
• Ensure projects meet municipal codes, zoning, and permitting standards.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and client outreach.
• Possibly lead a regional office with P&L responsibilities.
