Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our Mid-Atlantic design team. The role focuses on multi-disciplinary utilities projects with a land development background, requiring strong client interaction and leadership.

The position offers hybrid work arrangements, travel within MD/DC for site visits, and collaboration with engineers across civil, environmental, electrical, and mechanical disciplines. You will mentor staff and help grow programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
• Experience with land development regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of project execution including organization, delivery, subcontractor management, scheduling, financials, safety, and reporting.
• Nurture and grow client relationships and contracts for complex utility and pipeline projects.
• Lead, grow, and mentor staff toward professional career goals.
• Oversee pursuits, allocate resources, define client needs, and manage engineering resources within budget.
• Make technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality and value.
• Devise innovative approaches to problems encountered within projects.
• Collaborate on programs of design and construction management for continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with technical and client service teams within client organizations.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external teams of clients and stakeholders.
