Job summary

AECOM's Water Business Line in the Northeast invites a Senior Civil Design and Program Manager to lead our civil design practice for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Base locations include Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse with a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to mentor engineers and engage key clients.

Requirements include a BS in engineering, 10 years of relevant experience, and NY PE licensure (or ability to obtain in 1 year).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental engineering or related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer in NY or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience delivering engineering reports, drawings, specs and deliverables.
• Experience with stormwater, water, wastewater or flood protection/resilience projects.
• Valid US Driver’s License and ability to pass MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex design projects from planning through permitting and construction.
• Lead multi-discipline design teams locally and remotely.
• Interface with clients and regulatory agencies; present to clients.
• Design and manage civil and stormwater projects.
• Develop and review design, construction plans, specs and cost estimates.
• Oversee engineering reports and documentation.
• Prepare proposals, fee estimates and schedules.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Stay current on trends and guide proposal development to grow services.
