Job summary

Hamilton Point Property Management seeks a Maintenance Technician to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance, and repair various systems to meet company standards. You will assist with vendor coordination, budget-conscious purchasing, and timely work order completion.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and the ability to multitask while ensuring safety and compliance across properties.

Qualifications

• Read, write and understand English.
• Use computer tracking systems used at the property.
• Operate office equipment (phone, fax, printer, copier, key track).
• Provide excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests as directed by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor or staff.
• Schedule, monitor and/or perform preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances.
• Ensure timely response to work orders and proper completion of tasks.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness; report items for repair.
• Provide on-call pager service and perform emergency maintenance when required.
• Assist with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors.
• Assist with obtaining bids and overseeing contractor work.
• Assist with purchasing maintenance supplies within budget.
• Prepare and submit property invoices according to guidelines.
• Participate in training on fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
