Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep multifamily properties in top condition. You will perform technical tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs, and respond to resident requests promptly.

This role requires on-site presence, strong attention to safety, and the ability to coordinate with vendors, inspect work, and prepare units for new residents while maintaining common areas.

Qualifications

• One-year prior experience in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• Must be available for emergency on-call including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and appliances.
• Respond to resident service requests via work order system and complete repairs per standards.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Prepare vacant units by completing inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling contractors, and performing repairs.
• Maintain amenity areas and common spaces through regular cleaning and minor repairs.
• Track inventory and notify supervisors of reorder needs for tools and materials.
• Follow cost-effective maintenance practices and use tools efficiently.
• Attend safety meetings and complete OSHA training as required.
• Inspect vendor work to ensure quality and scope compliance.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
