Job summary

Administrative Services - Agency 65 in North Platte, NE is seeking two Maintenance Specialists I to perform repairs and preventive maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and groundskeeping. The role involves independent planning and execution of tasks within the building trades and facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade.
• Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections may substitute education on a year-for-year basis as determined by the agency.
• Preferred certifications in maintenance trades or licenses in applicable fields are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and groundskeeping.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs; manage parts inventory.
• Maintain accurate stock inventory; complete duties with or without supervision; perform other duties within classification.
