Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a skilled Plumber for maintenance across the facility, focusing on plumbing systems, electrical and construction aspects as needed. You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and repair pumps, ice makers, steam distribution, and related equipment while providing proactive customer service to internal stakeholders.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and an active core-trade license; prior plumbing license (Michigan) preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and competency of core trade, construction, blueprint reading, electricity, and mathematics as acquired through completion of State of Michigan Plumber License.
• Must maintain an active license in core trade.
• Follows safety protocols including bloodborne pathogen and TB testing.

Responsibilities

• Works from verbal and written orders, sketches, drawings and manufacturer's specifications.
• Performs programmed and preventative maintenance; installs, lubricates and repairs machinery and equipment such as pumps, ice makers, steam distribution.
• Repairs plumbing equipment and replaces defective parts; restores equipment systems.
