Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking a skilled Plumber to repair, alter, construct, and maintain plumbing systems across the hospital campus, following code and safety standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating with management to deliver reliable service. A High School Diploma or GED and an active core trade license are required, with preference for a Licensed Plumber.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of core trade, blueprint reading, electricity, and mathematics.
• Active license in core trade required.
• Licensed Plumber preferred; other skilled trades will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Works from verbal and written orders, sketches, drawings and manufacturer's specifications.
• Performs programmed and preventative maintenance. Installs, lubricates and repairs machinery, mechanical, and other equipment (i.e. pumps, ice makers, steam distribution, etc).
• Repairs plumbing equipment and dismantles equipment as referenced above. Replaces faulty or defective mechanical, electrical and plumbing parts. Restores equipment systems.
