Job summary

The Engineer at PAH Management supports daily operations of the Engineering Department at the Charlotte, NC property, overseeing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems to keep the hotel safe and compliant.

This hands-on role requires proactive problem-solving, clear communication with guests and colleagues, and the ability to make independent decisions under pressure while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• General knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
• Ability to work well in a team atmosphere and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service.
• Review guest and meeting planner feedback to identify and correct issues promptly.
• Develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds, and assets.
• Conduct site inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance and schedule tasks.
• Respond to calls regarding non-functioning equipment immediately.
• Repair and program the hotel's electronic lock system.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Inspect and certify emergency and life safety equipment per hotel standards.
• Participate in energy conservation programs.
• Assist with vendor contracts administration per hotel standards.
• Assist with special projects and renovations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
