Job summary

CGL is seeking a General Trades Technician to perform broad maintenance across facilities. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and related building components while following safety procedures and company standards.

The role includes preventive maintenance, on-call availability, and potential mentorship of junior technicians; strong teamwork and physical capability are required to handle diverse tasks in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years experience in building repairs and maintenance.
• General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Responds to service requests (electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing).
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and buildings in good condition.
• Operates plant equipment and building automation systems.
• Maintains tools and inventory; follows safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Trains other technicians and provides mentorship as needed.
