Job summary

CGL Companies is seeking a General Trades Technician to perform general maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems. You will respond to service requests, perform preventative maintenance, read blueprints, and work with CMMS to document activities.

On-call shifts and safety compliance are essential. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of building repairs/maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• DL/driver's license in-state required; EPA 608 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Responds to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, and fixtures.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and buildings in good condition.
• Adheres to preventive maintenance programs for heating and ventilation systems and replaces filters as needed.
• Assists in emergency maintenance such as sewage backups, leaks, and related issues.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs wiring, piping, and equipment as required.
• Reads blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs to determine work.
• Maintains safety standards and uses PPE; follows OSHA requirements.
• Operates plant equipment and building automation systems.
• Keeps tools and inventory organized and in good repair.
• Available for on-call shifts and mentors other technicians.
