Job summary

CGL Companies, LLC is seeking a General Trades Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs across facilities. You will diagnose and fix issues in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related areas, while following safety procedures and company standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using PPE, and maintaining equipment and tools. On-site work with potential on-call shifts; high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in building repairs and maintenance preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Responds to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, and other maintenance items.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and building systems operating efficiently.
• Adheres to preventive maintenance programs for heating and ventilation systems and replaces filters as needed.
• Assists in emergency maintenance such as sewage back-ups, water main breaks, and other leaks.
• Reads blueprints and repair manuals to determine work requirements.
• Operates plant equipment and building automation systems.
• Maintains tools, gauges, and inventory, and uses PPE as required.
• Trains other technicians and provides mentorship as needed.
• Maintains CMMS work orders and documents activities as per policy.
