Job summary

CGL Companies is seeking a General Trades Technician to perform hands-on building maintenance across facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and service electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and related equipment, with attention to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities include responding to service requests, performing preventive maintenance, reading blueprints, and supporting on-call coverage.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in building repairs and maintenance preferred.
General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
Willing to work occasional on-call shifts.
Must be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
Responds to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Performs routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment and buildings in good condition.
Reads blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine work needed.
Operates plant equipment and building automation systems.
Trains other technicians and provides mentorship as needed.
