Job summary

The Colorado Department of Military & Veterans Affairs seeks a Structural Trades II to support the Army National Guard at Fort Lupton Readiness Center and Fort Collins Readiness Center. You will work with the Facilities Manager and State Maintenance Foreman on general trades maintenance, with a Tue-Fri 06:30–17:00 schedule and potential after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant experience in structural trades such as building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, ground maintenance) or an equivalent combination.
• Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance and services on mechanical equipment.
• Repair doors, windows, ceilings, and stairs.
• Apply and finish dry wall, patch holes, texture surfaces, and re-glue cove bases.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and unclog pipes and drains.
• Install, repair, and replace lights, switches, outlets, pumps, motors, and controls.
• Service HVAC systems according to guidelines.
• Maintain security lighting and fire sprinkler systems.
• Paint interior and exterior buildings and trim.
• Install windows, blinds, flooring, and ceiling tiles.
• Move furniture and equipment and perform manual labor with hand tools.
• Adjust, troubleshoot, and repair sprinkler systems.
• Replace bulbs, ballast, and controls in various environments.
• Perform grounds maintenance including lawn care and sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate pest control via contractors and assist with weather-related tasks.
• Complete administrative duties like ordering parts and entering work orders in CMMS; track labor hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
