Job summary

Nelson Miller Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist to lead full-cycle, multi-state payroll for US sites. You will own the payroll function, maintain records, process tax reports, and handle deductions while ensuring compliance and data integrity.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience in manufacturing, with strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws. Up to 10% travel for training may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–5 years payroll experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years in multi-state payroll; 5 years strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle payroll processing for multi-state, multi-site operations.
• Validate timecards, attendance data, and system integrations prior to payroll submission.
• Process manual checks, adjustments, and off-cycle payments.
• Reconcile payroll each cycle and validate reports prior to final transmission.
• Maintain payroll records, audit trails, and employee data integrity.
• Prepare payroll-related reports and ad hoc analyses for management.
