Job summary

Mint Cannabis in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to own payroll processing, reporting, and insights for our workforce. You will handle payroll accuracy, updates, and cross-state compliance while supporting employees with payroll and benefits questions.

Responsibilities include processing hires/terminations, benefits events, audits, and driving process improvements to enhance enrollment and engagement across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (or equivalent) if required by your state.
• Must meet all role-specific requirements listed above.

Responsibilities

• Run payroll for 800 employees, accurately, on-time, and fully compliant across multiple states.
• Process new hires, terminations, rate changes, deductions, and benefits.
• Support our team with clear answers to their payroll and benefits questions.
• Keep our benefit programs running smoothly, from open enrollment to life event changes.
• Track the data, spot the trends, reconcile invoices, and stay audit-ready at all times.
• Identify ways to streamline and improve payroll processes.
• Manage monthly wellness initiative to improve benefit engagement and participation.
• Complete monthly state audits for local, state, and federal taxes.
