Job summary

Monte Christo Communities is seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as a key resource for employees and leaders across our multi-state organization. This hands-on role focuses on employment compliance, documentation, benefits administration, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, and workers’ compensation.

The ideal candidate has strong working knowledge of policies and laws in CA, OR, NV, and WA, and can translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Experience with California employment law is required; other states preferred.
• Proven ability to manage HR compliance, benefits, leave, and records.
• Experience with HRIS data and HR reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employment compliance across multi-state operations.
• Administer benefits, open enrollment, and vendor coordination.
• Manage leaves of absence, accommodations, and workers’ compensation processes.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and documentation.
