Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Multispecialty Coder to code for Surgery physicians, focusing on Multispecialty Surgical coding with Hospitalist encounters. You will extract data and apply ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes per official guidelines, CMS rules, and payer requirements.

You will work with IQC to ensure quality standards, maintain HIPAA compliance, and respond to billing questions within eight hours, while meeting turnaround times and chart corrections daily.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles for surgical and E/M encounters.
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines and third-party payer requirements.
• Maintains HIPAA compliant work practices and professional credentials.

Responsibilities

• Code multispecialty surgical and E/M encounters with ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Maintain 97% coding accuracy while achieving productivity standards.
• Review and correct charts, coordinate with IQC and facility teams.
• Communicate coding questions and provide timely answers within 8 hours.
