Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Neurosurgery Medical Coder to perform surgical coding for Neurology Surgery cases and to apply ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes with accuracy.

The role requires CPC certification, EMR experience, and at least 3 years of Neurology Surgery coding (IP and OP). You will support health-system coding, billing, and regulatory compliance while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Neurology Surgery Coding experience, IP and OP coding for physician claims.
• CPC certification from AAPC.
• EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to perform quality surgical coding on Neurology surgery chart types as assigned.
• Maintains a working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles, governmental regulations, official coding guidelines, and third-party requirements.
• Ensures services documented are coded with appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes; seeks proper documentation when needed.
