Job summary

Savista is seeking a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and physician billing. The role involves ensuring accurate coding to support revenue cycle processes and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

The candidate will have AHIMA or AAPC credentials, 2+ years of hands-on coding experience, familiarity with ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS, and comfort with MS Office; EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required
• Two years of recent coding experience
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS code sets
• Proficient with MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC assignments and E/M codes
• Abstract clinical data from records to support diagnoses and procedures
• Communicate with client staff for data integrity and clarification on coding
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
• Participate in client and Savista meetings and trainings
• Stay current with ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, guidelines and third-party requirements
• Engage in continuing education to maintain credentials
