Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical Center - Lab in Northwood, IA. You will perform laboratory testing across multiple specialty areas in an acute setting, using manual or automated techniques, and report results with independent judgment.

Expected qualifications include an Associate's degree in clinical lab tech or related field, 1–2 years of experience, and ASCP BOC or AMT certification within 1 year.

Formación

• Associate's degree in Clinical Lab Technician or related field is required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports appropriately.
• Performs calibration and maintenance of instruments and quality control.
• Recognizes instrument issues and notifies the supervisor when needed.
• Collects specimens from newborn to adult patients and ensures proper labeling.
