Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing to support clinicians and enhance patient care. Under supervision, you will collect vitals, room patients, document in the EMR, administer injections, assist with procedures, and coordinate care with providers.

Strong communication and a compassionate approach are essential. This position features a standard 8-hour day shift, 40 hours per week, located in Greenbrae, CA, with pay ranges listed and compliance with health-immunization

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
At least one year of related medical assisting experience; re-processing/procedural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Rooming patients, including obtaining vital signs, documenting symptoms with frequency and severity.
Provide courteous and compassionate care.
Document all information in the electronic medical record (EMR), including Meaningful Use data and ACO-related information (Allscripts experience preferred).
Provide injections, immunizations and other patient care services as ordered by the provider.
Assist with medical procedures and triage urgent medical needs as they arise.
Communicate lab results, prescriptions, referrals, and insurance information; manage workflow on EMR task lists.
