Job summary

Paycom in Sweetwater, TX is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform phlebotomy and basic chemistry, urinalysis, serology, microbiology and hematology procedures under the laboratory director's supervision.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, non-medical certification optional, phlebotomy experience a plus, and strong medical terminology, verbal, written and clerical skills to support accurate lab work.

Full-time, day shift, on-site position in Sweetwater, Texas.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification as a laboratory assistant preferred by NOT required.
• Experience as a phlebotomist/drawing neonates, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics a plus.
• Moderate knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent verbal, written and clerical skills.
• Qualifications in accordance with Federal Register (CLIA 88) part 493, subpart M, Personnel Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the laboratory director, performs laboratory procedures in phlebotomy, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, microbiology and hematology.
