Job summary

Insight Hospital and Medical Center Chicago is seeking a meticulous Patient Access Representative for our Multi-Specialty facility. The role involves cross-training in clinical administrative tasks, answering phones, greeting patients, and entering data into the EMR. Strong customer service and confidentiality are essential in a fast-paced setting.

The position is full-time, with shifts 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and offers benefits including paid time off and health plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates/bachelor’s preferred.
• 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent phone skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
• Strong data-entry and computer skills with accurate typing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Perform data entry through Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality.
• Answer phone calls in a courteous, timely manner.
• Register patients and schedule appointments.
• Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities.
• Adhere to hospital standards and policies.
• Monitor supplies and inventory as needed.
