Job summary

TC Energy’s Heartland region seeks a multiskilled Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair compressor station equipment, troubleshoot control systems, and support field operations. The role requires self-motivation, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

You will perform preventative maintenance, interpret blueprints, and coordinate with gas control. The job includes on-call duties, safety responsibilities, and on-site collaboration with contractors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated work experience in a related industry.
• Thorough understanding of SWA and safe work practices (LOTO).
• Experience with gas engines, compressors, and automatic control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, overhaul and repair of compressor station equipment per drawings.
• Inspect for gas leaks and assist in safety equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
• Coordinate with gas control on maintenance scheduling to maximize uptime.
• Manage contractors on-site and complete job plans and SAP entries.
• Assist in safety meetings and on-call rotation tasks.
