Job summary

Alfa Laval in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep facilities and equipment running safely and efficiently. This hands-on role covers electrical, HVAC, plumbing, machining, and welding tasks, with emphasis on safety and adherence to certifications. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot from diagrams, and support senior technicians.

Overtime and local travel may be required. A High School diploma or GED and relevant maintenance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with relevant maintenance experience
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance
• Assist senior Technicians with troubleshooting by following diagrams, sketches, manuals, and engineering specifications
• Apply correct methods and practices in preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and minor construction of buildings and utilities
• Support Maintenance Technician II, Team Lead and Manager when additional support is needed
• Use proper Lock-Out Tag-Out processes and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Notify management of safety risks or repairs required
• Provide necessary materials to various workstations and locations to support ongoing operations
• Understand and clarify work plans to complete assignments with high quality and timeliness
• Select and safely use hand, power, and specialty tools for maintenance tasks
• Assist senior technicians to ensure team success
• Identify and recommend replacements or improvements during maintenance and repairs
• Adjust functional parts and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently
• Keep workplace organized and return it to its original condition after work is completed
• Perform welding and fabrication when necessary to support maintenance and repair activities
• Prioritize safety and comply with Alfa Laval safety policies and procedures
