Job summary

Riverside Commons is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will support interior and exterior maintenance, engage in electrical/plumbing tasks, light construction, drywall patching, and coordinate vendor services to ensure smooth facility operations.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A background in healthcare or long-term care environments is preferred, with excellent communication and teamwork a

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
• Experience working with seniors and state/local agencies for inspections is a plus
• Prior work experience in a long-term care or other healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall plant operations, including interior and exterior maintenance
• Perform electrical/plumbing work, light construction, drywall patch/paint, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
• Coordinate scheduled service from outside vendors, including but not limited to HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing services
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless facility operations
