Job summary

Riverside Commons in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily facility operations, interior and exterior upkeep, and trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and painting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
• Experience working with seniors and state/local agencies for inspections is a plus
• Prior work in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail; ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs

Job Summary:

At Riverside Commons, we are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team! As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall operations of our facility, including interior and exterior maintenance, electrical/plumbing work, light construction, drywall patch/paint, and coordinating scheduled service from outside vendors. • Perform electrical/plumbing work, light construction, drywall patch/paint, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
• Coordinate scheduled service from outside vendors, including but not limited to HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing services
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless facility operations

Requirements:
