Job summary

Independence Village Plymouth is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties across our senior living community. This full-time role requires working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, outdoors in various weather conditions, and collaborating with multiple departments.

The ideal candidate will have HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting experience, plus the ability to read safety rules and write routine reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; related experience preferred.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate manuals; ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to varied tasks.
• Positive attitude and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operates various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with team members.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, safe condition per regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and building or grounds.
• Maintains a positive Customer Service attitude in interactions with staff and residents.
