Job summary

The Wenger Group is seeking a versatile Utility Technician to support multiple mill operations in Pennsylvania. This role involves cross-training in batch mixing, shortmix monitoring, pellet mill operation, and truck loading/unloading, with backup maintenance duties and participation in special projects.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong safety awareness, good communication, and a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or mill environment is a plus.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple operational tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor batch mixing to ensure accurate formulation and consistency.
• Perform shortmix monitoring to maintain product quality.
• Operate pellet mill equipment for optimal performance and output.
• Load and unload trucks safely per procedures and documentation.
• Serve as backup for maintenance tasks and assist with basic repairs.
• Assist with plant projects, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and facility enhancements.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
