Job summary

Prima Medical Foundation dba MarinHealth Medical Network is seeking a Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing. Under the supervision of the Clinical Lead and Practice Leader, you will assist providers, gather patient information, obtain vital signs, and support procedures and instrument processing.

You will deliver courteous, compassionate patient care, document everything in the electronic medical record, manage labs and referrals, and help with scheduling and clinic upkeep while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification from NHA or AMCA required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• At least one year of related medical‑assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, record vitals, reason for visit, and document symptoms.
• Provide courteous, compassionate patient care.
• Document in EMR, including meaningful use data and referrals.
• Administer injections and immunizations per provider orders.
• Assist with procedures and instrument re-processing.
• Coordinate communications, prescriptions, and referrals in EMR.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records.
• Keep exam rooms clean and stocked; assist with clinic upkeep.
• Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries.
