Job summary

Harbor Group Management Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical integrity and appearance of our multifamily properties. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to resident service requests, and support efficient property operations, ensuring safety and quality.

This on-site role requires practical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs. You must have at least 1 year of maintenance experience; HVAC certification is preferred and EPA

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair).
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using a work order system and complete repairs per company standards and local codes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operation of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents by inspecting, punching lists, scheduling contractors, and performing needed repairs.
• Maintain clean, functional amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, and painting as needed.
• Manage maintenance tools, track inventory, and notify supervisors when reorders are necessary.
• Repair rather than replace parts when possible to stay cost-effective.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents accurately.
• Inspect work by vendors to ensure quality and scope compliance.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs and upkeep.
