Job summary

Mashcole Property Management Inc is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician to service multiple properties in the Los Angeles/Santa Monica area. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance, with hands-on duties and a focus on making every unit market-ready.

This part-time, 20-hour-per-week position reports to the Property Manager and Regional Property Supervisor, offering hands-on problem solving, scheduling flexibility, and opportunities to support turnover, inspections

Qualifications

• 1 year of trade school or 6 months of work experience required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pool maintenance and appliance repair.
• Must have hand tools normally used in construction and maintenance.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily upkeep of mechanical equipment per preventative maintenance program (HVAC, water heaters, smoke alarms, fire alarms, fire systems, backflows, roof inspections, landscaping).
• Assist with make-ready, inspections, and turnover tasks for apartments.
• Record time spent on assignments and maintain on-call log records.
• Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining inventory of maintenance items.
• Attend training seminars and management meetings as required.
