Job summary

Gulf Coast JFCS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair across Myrtle Oaks and Egret Apartments, including common areas and units. The role reports to the Director of Housing and requires coordinating with contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, preventive maintenance, and basic HVAC/electrical troubleshooting, with travel between Heron (Tampa) and Egret (New Port Richey) as directed.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience as a maintenance technician overseeing apartment or large residential facilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; maintenance certification desirable.
• Ability to coordinate sporadic high levels of activity and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift/move items over 50 pounds and adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize work orders; document progress and completion.
• Maintain interior/exterior grounds and preventive maintenance.
• Support turnover of vacant units with contractors/vendors.
• Evaluate HV/AC equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Order and maintain replacement parts; service refrigerators and stoves.
• Inspect electrical outlets; test inventory and direct purchases.
• Respond to emergency calls and supervise work by outside vendors.
