Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Facilities Manager to ensure safety and functionality of our multi‑unit residential properties. You will lead a skilled onsite team and coordinate third‑party vendors to maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical and life safety systems, while upholding Scion’s standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED, trade school diploma, or military training
• 8 years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit residential properties
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• 5 years’ experience with building automation systems and life safety systems
• EPA 608 Universal certification
• HVAC/EPA 608 Universal certification
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intention to obtain within six months
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as design drawings, blueprints, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to stand 8 hours or lift up to 100 lbs as necessary
• Job location is at the assigned property; travel may be required
• Serves in an on-call capacity, except during approved PTO periods
• Microsoft Office and CMMS knowledge

Responsibilities

• Manage all building services and preventative maintenance programs according to industry practices and Scion SOPs
• Oversee day-to-day operations including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and general building maintenance
• Monitor systems, provide diagnostics and preventive maintenance and manage major building systems
• Operate and manage life safety systems including fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers and detectors
• Prioritize and schedule maintenance work ensuring quality aligns with Scion standards
• Supervise Facilities Technicians and ensure timely completion of service requests
• Review completed work for conformance to standards and repair quality
• Coordinate vendor bids and manage contracted work with leadership approval
• Oversee Turn preparations and inspect vacated units for repairs and readiness
• Maintain inventory of maintenance spare parts, tools, and supplies
• Maintain records of major systems, warranties, and manuals
• Collaborate with General Manager for facilities and capital planning
