Job summary

Hireology is seeking an Area Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance across multiple long-term care facilities in Texas. You will supervise staff, manage schedules, and ensure safe, efficient operation of all plant systems.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and resident care, with HVAC experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in long-term care.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates genuine care for elderly and disabled residents.
• Adheres to safety policies and patient rights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations: supervise staff, schedules, and facilities.
• Perform maintenance tasks: keep plant and equipment safe and functioning.
• Manage preventive maintenance: establish and audit programs.
• Supervise contractors: oversee outside repairs and projects.
• Maintain safety standards: inspect fire systems and coordinate monthly drills.
• Promote safety awareness: orient new hires on safety and disaster policy.
• Budget management: work within repair, maintenance, and project budgets.
• Stock and equipment oversight: order supplies and manage tools.
