Job summary

The Jewish Board is seeking a Culinary Service Assistant Manager to oversee meal service across residential programs and Mishkon campus. You will supervise kitchen staff, ensure recipes and diet requirements are followed, and support compliance with kosher and medical diets.

We seek 3–5 years of food service leadership, strong knowledge of safety regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Intacct-like systems. This role offers multi-site oversight in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food service operations.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day food service operations across multiple programs.
• Supervise cooks and food service staff; onboarding and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with kosher and medical diet requirements.
• Monitor quality, meal presentation, and service standards.
• Coordinate communication among residential managers, culinary staff, clinical teams, vendors and leadership.
• Monitor inventory and purchasing; assist with vendor coordination and ordering.
