Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutritional science, dietetics, or food service management.
• Minimum of 2 years food service management experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
• HAACP principles training and Food Protection Manager certification within six months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership to manage multiple projects and build a positive kitchen culture.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with a systems approach.
• Ability to supervise staff with coaching and teaching skills.
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Knowledge of storage, preparation, service of food and sanitary equipment.
• Ability to estimate and budget for personnel, space, equipment, supplies and services.
• Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight of large-scale kosher kitchen operations for multiple meal programs.
• Supervise Kitchen Manager and assist with scheduling when Director is unavailable.
• Collaborate to ensure kosher adherence in menu and production.
• Support subscription meal delivery projects and expansion efforts.
• Develop and enforce kitchen policies, budgets and staffing plans.
• Ensure HACCP, sanitation, portion control, and quality standards.
• Plan menus for general and special diets per contractual guidelines.
• Coordinate staff training and certification upkeep.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives and customer feedback analysis.
• Maintain health inspections pass rates and corrective action plans.
