The Multinational Underwriter is a specialized resource within our underwriting practice. In this role, you will be a member of The Hartford’s (HIG’s) growth initiatives to build and execute a broader multinational risk strategy supporting small, mid-size, and large U.S. domiciled risks. More specifically, partnered with our home office and regional underwriting teams, this Center role will underwrite Canadian policies, offer subject matter expertise to U.S. businesses about Canadian insurance laws/regulations, assist with projects related to our strategy in Canada, and provide multinational expertise at the point of sale as needed to differentiate HIG’s Multinational Choice offering.
Success in this role will involve demonstrated sales and negotiation skills, strategic planning to create new business, account expansion, cross-sell opportunities, and renewal retention. Underwriting includes Property and Casualty lines of business.
The level of this position will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
This role offers a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates living near one of the listed office locations are expected to work in the office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Those not near an office will work remotely, with occasional in-office visits as needed.
The annualized base pay range is based on external market analysis. Actual pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and competencies. The total compensation may include bonuses, incentives, and recognition. The range is: $66,800 - $142,800.
The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different levels depending on background and experience.
