We’re committed to making a difference and are proud to be an insurance company that offers more than just coverages and policies. Working here provides every opportunity to achieve your goals and help others accomplish theirs. Join our team as we shape the future.

The Multinational Underwriter is a specialized role within our underwriting practice. You will be part of The Hartford’s growth initiatives, focusing on building and executing a broader multinational risk strategy supporting small, mid-size, and large U.S.-based risks. Specifically, in partnership with our home office and regional underwriting teams, this role involves underwriting Controlled Master Programs (CMPs), managing the placement of compliant locally admitted policies through our Hartford Global Insurer Network, and providing multinational expertise at the point of sale to differentiate HIG’s Multinational Choice offering.

Success in this role requires demonstrated sales and negotiation skills, strategic planning for new business development, account expansion, and cross-selling opportunities. Underwriting responsibilities include Property and Casualty lines of business.

We’ll Be a Good Match if You Have:
  • A customer-first mindset, prioritizing our clients in all you do.
  • A passion for decision-making supported by data analysis and critical thinking.
  • Team spirit and a collaborative attitude.
  • A positive attitude and pride in delivering quality work.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills with the ability to recommend and propose solutions.
