The Elliot Health System in New Hampshire seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiography and CT scans, prepare patients, adjust technical factors, and ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.

Requires graduation from an accredited radiography/RT or nuclear medicine program, ARRT CT and Rad Tech certifications, and BLS during orientation. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is eligible. Weekend shifts across Londonderry and Bedford with a structured schedule.

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification is required.
• ARRT (CT) certification must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
• ARRT (Rad Tech) certification is required.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.

• Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
• Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media (oral, IV, rectal).
• Checks patient charts for lab results and allergies prior to IV contrast administration.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff, and self according to safety standards.

About The Job

• The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A multimodality technologist performs radiographic and CT Scan procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do

• Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
• Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media, i.e., orally, IV, rectally.
• Checks patient charts for lab results and allergies prior to the administration of IV contrast.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.

Who You Are

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification, Required
