Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform radiographic and CT scan procedures, producing high-quality images for interpretation.

You will maintain knowledge of all imaging equipment, prepare patients, adjust factors to minimize radiation, administer contrast when needed, and uphold strict safety standards for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography or related program.
• Board certification in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT CT certification within 24 months of hire.
• ARRT Rad Tech certification required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS qualification during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of all radiographic and CT scan equipment.
• Prepares and positions patients for CT and X-Ray procedures per procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media (oral, IV, Rectal).
• Checks charts for labs and allergies before IV contrast.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self per safety standards.

About the Job:

• The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A multimodality technologist performs radiographic and CT Scan procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You'll Do:

• Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
• Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media, i.e., orally, IV, rectally.
• Checks patient charts for lab results and allergies prior to the administration of IV contrast.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification, Required
• ARRT (CT) certification, Required within 24 months of hire
• ARRT (Rad Tech) certification, Required
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment

Work Shift:

Every weekend- Londonderry -8am-8pm
opposite weekend Bedford 6am-4pm
Every Monday Bedford 7am-4:30pm
